      1/2  pound         sharp cheddar cheese -- grated
      1/4  pound         butter
      1/2  teaspoon      salt
           heavy pinch   cayenne pepper ( I used quite a bit)
    1 1/2  cups          sifted flour
 
 Cream together cheese, butter, salt and pepper.  Add flour.  Make into a roll, 
 wrap in waxed paper, freeze or put in the refrigerator.  When needed, slice int
 o thin wafers, put pecan on top.  Bake 450 F.
