8 cloves garlic -- crushed
2 cups onion -- chopped
4 pounds ground beef
4 cans tomatoes
4 tablespoons salt
4 bay leaves

Heat olive oil in saucepan. Add garlic, onion, and ground beef and brown lightl

Add tomatoes, salt, bay leaves and tomato paste. Simmer, covered, 2 1/2 to 3 ho
urs, until thickened and reduced.
