~ Spicy apple ring Recipe ~

       Title: Spicy Apple Ring

       Yield: 6 Servings
  
     1/2 c  Butter or margarine,
            -softened
       1 c  Sugar
       1    Egg
       1 c  All-purpose flour
       1 ts Baking soda
       1 ts Cinnamon
     1/2 ts Salt
     1/2 c  Chopped nuts
       1 tb Water
       3 c  Diced apple
  
   Blend butter, sugar, egg, flour, soda, cinnamon, salt, nuts and water
   together.  Stir in apple.  Microwave in a 6-cup ring mold for 10
   minutes on 50% power and then on high power for 2 1/2 - 3 1/2
   minutes.  Unmold after 3 ~ 5 minutes.
   
   6 - 8 servings
   
   Fat 11.4 grams per serving

   I replaced the sugar with slightly less than a cup of brown sugar.  I
   also didn't think to peel the apples until after I'd cut them up.
   
   It was quite good!
