Taco Pie

1 deep dish pie crust (9")
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion -- chopped
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 can refried beans
1/3 cup taco sauce
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
12 tortilla chips -- crushed
shredded lettuce
chopped tomato
sour cream
sliced black olives
additional taco sauce
Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 400F. Prick bottom and sides of pie
crust. Place pie crust on cookie sheet; bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven
and let cool. Reduce heat to 350F. In skillet, cook onion and beef until
browned; drain fat. Add taco seasoning mix and prepare according to
package directions. In small bowl, combine refried beans and 1/3 c. taco
sauce. mix well. Layer half bean mixture into pie crust. Top with half of
seasoned meat, 1 cup cheese and crushed tortilla chips. Repeat layers,
excluding chips. Bake on cookie sheet 20-25 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes
before serving. Top with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and olives; serve
with additional taco sauce if desired.
