Red Chile Rice

1/4 cup canola oil
2 each yellow onion -- diced
1/2 cup ground red chile
2 tablespoons granulated garlic
1 1/3 tablespoons black pepper
2 tablespoons sea salt
1 3/4 gallons water
1 gallon long-grain white rice
Saute onion in oil till soft. Add rice and all other ingredients except
water. Stir until all rice kernels have become coated in oil. Add water and
bring to
a boil. Reduce to simmer and cover. Simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat and
let stand covered for 15 minutes. Fluff with fork. Serve.
