Don't know if this has already been posted....made it a few days
ago, and it is soft, moist, and super for sandwiches and toast....
GRAPE-NUT BREAD
... SMALL MEDIUM LARGE Yeast 1 tsp.
1-1/2 tsp 2-1/2 tsp Bread flour 1-1/3C 2C 2-2/3C Grape-Nuts Cereal
1/3C 1/2C 2/3C Salt 1 tsp 1-1/2 tsp 2 tsp
Sugar 2 tsp 1 TB 1-1/3 TBS Oil or applesauce 1-1/3 TBS 2 TBS 2-2/3
TBS Water 2/3C 1C 1-1/3C
I found the dough to be way to wet, so I added about 1/3C more
flour. It was perfect. I used the applesauce, of course!
:) The Grape-Nuts did not stay crunchy (I was sort of hoping they
would)....they smooshed tmeselves into oblivion, but give the bread a
wonderful flavor!
