    3                    Bananas -- mashed(1 1/4 cups)
    1 1/4   c            Walnuts
    1       t            Vanilla
      1/2   c            Sour --  
                         FLOUR. ADD
                         BAKING POWDER
                         ADD MASHED
                         BAKE ABOUT 35
                         FLOURED OR
                         first prize for
                         Pomona, Ca.
    1       c            Sugar
      1/2   c            Shortening
    2                    Eggs
    2       c            Flour
    1       t            Baking soda
                         
 			
 Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs and soda and buttermilk. Mix in salt
 and (add 1 drop lemon extract if desired) bananas and fold in nuts and
 vanilla.  Minutes at 350 degrees in greased and papered pan.
